ONE WIN AWAY FROM WORLD SERIES

Photobucket
The champagne is on ice in the visiting clubhouse at Angels Stadium as the Yankees are one   win away from meeting the Dodgers or the Phillies in the World Series. Game 2 Starter A.J. Burnett will get the ball tomorrow and after his Game 2 performance Yankee fans are feeling pretty good about the Yankees’ chances of going to their first World Series since 2003. Game 5 is tomorrow night on Fox and the Yankees will try to wrap up the American League Championship and secure their spot in the Fall Classic.

The Yankees closed out the Metrodome last night and they moved on to the ALCS in the process. For the first time in 5 years the Yankees are back in the ALCS where they will face not the Red Sox but the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The Angels completed the sweep last night at Fenway Park and punched their ticket to the Bronx this Friday night. Games 1,2,6, and 7 will be played at Yankee Stadium and Games 3,4, and 5 will be at Angels Stadium in California.

PAYBACK! The Yankees clinched the AL East today in front of the Boston Red Sox and oh how satisfying it was! ESPN cameras caught Boston 2B in the Visitor’s dugout with his head down and that along with the locker room celebration made my day.  This particular post won’t be too long otherwise it will eventually be redundant with my excitement of the Yankees clinching the east and sweeping Boston again! I’m going to end on this note: “THE YAAAANKEEEES WIN, THEEE YAAAANKEEES WIN!” – John Sterling.

MAGIC NUMBER DOWN TO 3

After beating the Boston Red Sox last night the Yankees magic number is now 3. 3 is the number of Yankee Legend Babe Ruth and oh yeah he used to play for the Red Sox. Who said the curse of the Bambino was over? The Yankees have 2 more games against the Red Sox with a chance to sweep them and Clinch the AL East title.
